Halloween is around the corner and you’re already looking for wonderful costumes, makeup looks and of course... hairstyles to rock out! HSI team came up with different ideas based on some of 2018 most popular movies. Keep reading so you’re ready to head off to your next horror party!
Donna’s waves from Mamma Mia: Here we go again! Everyone loved young Donna’s blonde curls. If you want to recreate them, use some argan oil heat protectant before rolling it on your heated curler. Once you do this and the rollers are cool, take them out and comb it up. Then brush it and pin your hair back into a very casual mid bun. Pluck a few thick hair strands out and allow them to fall on your face. Apply some hairspray to hold everything in place!
Gamora’s hair from Avengers: Infinity War. If you decide to go as Gamora this year, we recommend that you curl your hair up and add pre-dyed magenta hair extensions using a barrel iron. Dot temporary hair glue along the top of the extensions and track and secure them with wig clips. If you want to take this look to the next level, add some temporary magenta spray color -without ammonia- to your extension tips.
Elastigirl’s bob style from Incredibles 2. Maybe you are a super mom and would like to impress everyone dressed up as Elastigirl. If you’re into this costume but your hair is too long, don’t worry, you just need a layered bob wig. To install it, tie a low ponytail and introduce it into a wig cap. Then put on the bob wig and clip it up with bobby pins. Brush it and comb it and you’ll be ready to go!
- Shuri’s braids from Black Panther. To get this gorgeous braided hairdo, start by sectioning your hair in two parts and applying a moisturizer. Then make thin braids all over your hair. When you finish, tight a mid bun on the top of your hair and make a thick French braid on the lower part. Link the big braid to a jumbo dark brown extension. Take another extension and knot it up to the mid bun. Separate the hair it in two again and create more thin braids. Loop them loosely around the crown. Secure ends with bobby pins and lots of hairspray!
Anastasia Steele’s bangs from 50 Shades Freed. If you’re feeling sexy -but cute- this year, you should definitely go as Anastasia Steele. Recreate this hairstyle by curling your hair up and adding some clip-in bangs into the front of your head. We recommend that you use argan oil wash set first to ensure the hair is silky and smooth, this will make it easier to work with.
