We’ve all done it, woken up in the morning with dry hair that is. It looks terrible, and sometimes it even looks discolored. You can take all the precautions you want, even constantly styling your hair with our ionic ceramic flat iron, but at some point, you’re going to find that you slip up, or environment problems cause you to wake up with a complete matted mop on your head, and you’re not going to be happy.
Fortunately, there are a few things that you can do to get your hair looking great, even when you climb out of the bed in the morning, so how do you do it? How do you achieve that perfect mane when it’s completely out of your control? Let’s take a quick look at some of the most popular methods.
Your Guide to Overnight Volume with an Ionic Ceramic Flat Iron
If your hair is going to look livelier, then it’s going to need the ceramic flat iron treatment, without a single argument. Doing it on the way out the door can be beneficial, but you should also consider styling your hair before you go to bed. When you are styling your hair, we strongly recommend that you pull upward rather than down, as it will definitely serve to add the volume that you’re looking for. For an even more advanced technique braid your hair before you go to sleep, secure the braids, and then sleep on it overnight. Then, when you remove the braids, you’ll have instant texture – nice, right?
Argan Oil is Key
If your hair is on the damaged side you can really bring it back from the edge by applying a hair treatment infused with Argan oil. This will do an outstanding job of making your hair softer to the touch, which means you’re going to experience fewer tangles. It is strongly recommended that you comb an Argan based product through your hair, and ultimately reduce the tangles.
If you want to take it to the next level, then it would be a good idea to sleep with your head in a silk scarf as this will soften the surface you’re lying on and help to reduce tangles. If you want to add to that, you can always purchase a silk or satin pillowcase. Remember: one of the biggest problems with our nightly routine is the cotton pillowcase we sleep on. It might seem harmless, but it actually causes breakage.
Wear a Loose Bun to Bed
After you, shampoo and towel dry your hair at night, put it in a loose, high bun. Once you wake up in the morning, you will have beautiful, wavy hair, all without the use of ceramic flat irons. Not only is it easy, it’s very convenient if you have little time in the morning to work with your hair.
Keep it Up
If you sleep with your hair down, you want to cut that out. It is best to keep your hair up in a bun or otherwise contained while you sleep, primarily because you cannot control what you do while you are asleep. If your hair is loose, you’re going to wake up with all kinds of tangles and knots which will get in the way while you’re trying to brush it out.
Lower the Heat
If you’re using heat tools in the morning, like our ceramic flat iron, then you might want to consider washing your hair the night before and then using a wide tooth comb to ensure that your hair is completely tangled free. In the morning, your hair will be in much better condition and you’ll be able to spend less time under the iron. Finally, make sure that you’re using Argan oil products to really bring out the best in your hair. Before you know it, bedhead will be a thing of the past and you’ll be much happier.
