Four Ways HSI Products Can Fix Dry Hair

by HSI Professional | Dec 14 2016

What are the characteristics of dry hair? It tends to be frizzy, easily damaged, flaky with dandruff, and with an uncountable number of split ends. Sounds terrible, right? For those who suffer from consistently dry hair, there's great news: HSI Professional has a range of products that are perfectly suited to fix dry hair.

At HSI Professional, we provide high quality salon styling products to consumers all over the world. Our product line is growing by the day, as is our loyal customer base. Our products are among the best in the industry for those who appreciate healthy hair, and our customer service is top of the line, existing solely to ensure each and every customer is fully satisfied with their purchase.

There's simply no justifiable reason to look elsewhere for professional products suited perfectly for dry hair. So what are four ways HSI products can fix dry hair?

HSI Professional

One: HeatBalance Technology

One of the reasons our products are great for dry hair is because of the technology we use to ensure heat is distributed evenly during application. All of our curling wands and flat irons feature this technology, called HeatBalance technology.

HeatBalance technology equips each of our high quality tools with 8 micro-sensors to regulate the temperature and evenly distribute heat. This is a huge part of frizz control and temperature control in order to prevent stripping hair of moisture excessively, which would inevitably cause damage.

Two: Ceramic Tourmaline Plates

What's one of the number one problems you run into when you try to style super dry hair? It's frizz! Most people are under the impression that extreme heat will solve their problems, but without the right tools, they tend to only create more frizz and more problems.

At HSI, we provide ceramic tourmaline high heat tools (curling wands and flat irons) that are made to cut down on frizz caused by dry, damaged hair. How? In short, tourmaline is a crystal that is ground into a fine powder and infused into the ceramic plates of a flat iron. When heated, this substance produces a huge amount of negative ions, enough to counteract the positive ions found in dry and damaged hair.

What, exactly does this mean? It means that ceramic tourmaline flat irons are better at avoiding hair damage and neutralizing ions that cause static and frizz. When you use ceramic tourmaline, you're giving your hair a break from the damage, allowing it to strengthen again, and thus granting it the opportunity to retain moisture better than ever before.

Three: Multiple Settings

There's no getting around the fact that applying extreme heat to dry hair tends to only make it worse, that is, without smart technology. All of our Heated Tools come with a temperature dial so you can dial up or down the heat as you see fit for your hair; after all, we always recommend you keep temperatures no hotter than they actually need to be to get the job done. Not sure where to start? We have a guide that should help! For course hair – that is, extra thick and curly – start around 450 degrees and work your way down.

For normal hair, or wavy semi-curly hair, 350 is probably your best bet. Fine hair – thin and naturally straight – or hair that is already damaged should start around 180 degrees. Color treated hair is best to start around 300 degrees. As a best practice, if you're not quite sure what's best for your hair, always begin from the lower temperature and work your way up.

Also, test a small portion of your hair before you commit much to the setting, in much the same way that you might test a hidden area of your couch with your new cleaner before you clean the whole thing. Taking great care in selecting the perfect HSI setting for your hair will ensure it stays full of moisture and strong.

Four: Argan Oil Products

A huge part of correcting dry hair is ensuring you're taking the steps necessary to protect it when you style it with heat. At HSI Professional, we offer a range of products for your hair with a primary ingredient of Argan oil. Argan oil is a naturally derived oil from the fruit of the Morrocan Argan tree; it infuses your hair with essential nutrients to give your hair the moisture it needs, to promote shine and to fight frizz.

When it comes to fixing dry hair, Argan oil is simply a must. We provide several products that will repair and enrich dry and damaged hair as it replenishes moisture and shine and protects the hair from future damage: if it's a product necessary for healthy hair – we supply it with our Argan Oil compound. Argan Oil Heat Protectant is great for use before both flat iron (and curling wand) application – expect it to guard your hair from damage caused by excessive high heat exposure that one might get from straightening hair on the highest setting.

Argan Oil Hydrating Smoothing Mask is great for revitalizing dry or damaged hair after excessive heated product application. Argan Oil Leave-in Hair Treatment is perfect for conditioning, styling and finishing your hair; and Argan Oil Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner will moisturize dehydrated hair and remove build up as it cleans and conditions each strand before styling. Dry hair doesn't have to be permanent, and it doesn't have to mean your heat styling days are over. Rather, opt for high quality products from HSI to restore your hair and make it strong again.
