HSI Tips: How to Get your Curly Hair to Relax at Home

Let’s face it: there are many parts of you that are at their best early in the morning, but your hair isn’t going to be one of them; not by any stretch of the imagination. We’ve all had the matted hair and the greasy follicles, and let’s be perfectly honest here: we’ve all broken a comb or two.

Don’t worry, there are a few measures that you can take to ensure your hair remains in good condition for the entire day, even if you have to straighten a few things out. HSI professional has been dealing with these problems for a very long time, and we’re more than happy to help you get back on track.

How HSI Professional Deals With Messy Hair

Deals With Messy Hair

So you have curly hair, which is a complete nightmare in the mornings, but we have a few methods that you can use to get it back on track. Take a look at a few of the items below and see which of them you can fit into your lifestyle.

Hair Straightener

We’re not sure why you wouldn’t have one of these in your arsenal already, but we’re going to say that if you have no hair straightener or a cheap hair straighter, then it’s time to break into the HSI line of products to make sure you’re giving your hair the treatment it needs.

There are some hair straighteners out there that just don’t get the job done, among them, the Remington line, and those old style straighteners that use bare metal rather than tourmaline or titanium. To that end, we cannon recommend enough that you invest in a high-quality straightener that will give your hair the treatment it deserves.

Blow Dry It

One of the biggest mistakes that people make is trying to dry their hair when they get out of the shower as if it’s any other part of their body. You really don’t want to rub all of the moisture out of your hair – pat it instead. Something else to keep in mind is that in order for your hair to become straight, you need to blow dry it right out of the shower to fully break the hydrogen bonds and allow it to relax. You don’t have to turn your dryer onto the highest possible setting, but you do at least need to make sure the job is getting done.

Use a Flat Iron Conditioner

If you aren’t going to use a heat protectant, remember that there are several tools out there you can use to spray your hair and ultimately have confidence that your hair is going to hold after the flat ironing. As with any other product, you will want to make sure that you are using something of high quality.

Protect your Hair

If you’re going to flat iron, make sure you use some type of heat protectant. If you don’t, you run the risk of burning your hair and causing significant damage, but will also end up with stiff hair that will stand on end rather than lay flat. Sure, it might not be curly, but it still isn’t quite what you were going for, and that would be a tragedy.

Use Clips

Many people complain that straightening their hair takes far too long, but in our opinion many people are doing it wrong. Before you start straightening, we strongly recommend that you separate it into sections using clips, and make sure that you’re using something heat resistant, unless you’d prefer that the clips melt into your hair.

Clips are easy to find, whether you’re shopping at your salon or online, so there’s no excuse! It’s not as hard to straighten curly hair as you might think! Start taking a look at the various products right now, and make sure that your hair is in good shape whether you’re getting out of bed or simply trying to get through your day.
