Hair Tips for the Busy Woman

If you’re constantly on the go, there is a good chance that you worry quite a bit about your hair. Whether you’re a mother, or just an incredibly busy person, you need to make sure that your hair takes priority, and we’re talking about doing much more than just putting a scrunchie in your hair and calling it a day – you’re going to need a lot more than that if you want to avoid that inevitable day where you look in the mirror and say “What on earth happened to me?” Let’s take a look at a few quick tips you can use whether you have a few minutes in the morning, or you’re rushing out the door and didn’t have time to break out the ceramic iron.

Consider Using a Good Shampoo and Conditioner

The base of having good hair is making sure that you're using a good shampoo and conditioner, and it’s true that it can be a little pricey. Here’s the problem: if you spend less on shampoo and conditioner you’re going to find that the substandard ingredients dry out your hair and cause split ends. Don’t skimp on shampoo – you’re going to regret it.

Use your Blow Dryer

If you work this into your routine, you won’t think much of it, and it won’t waste too much of your time. This is also a good opportunity to work some mousse into your hair and down to the roots. Flip your head upside down to get full coverage with the hair dryer.

Get your Hair Trimmed When you Need It

A good tip for anyone is to head to the salon and get your hair trimmed every six to eight weeks. Even if you’re growing out your hair, you’ll want to trim it, as this will help to ensure that the dead ends are gone, and the split isn’t working its way up the hair shaft. Take the time, get them trimmed, and make sure that you don’t end up with five inches of split ends – your stylist will thank you.

Deep Conditioning is Key

If you want to keep your hair healthy, and able to withstand the heat of a ceramic flat iron, among other tools that you might have in your hair care arsenal, then you may wish to try using a deep conditioner. Deep conditioner is undeniably good for your hair; it helps to prevent the dead ends while giving your hair a serious break. Some people deny needing to use conditioner as they already have greasy hair, but this could mean that they’re (you’re) using the wrong conditioner and getting a pretty nasty result. Find a salon quality conditioner and make sure that your hair gets the treatment it needs.

Taking care of your hair is very important, and if you fail to do so, you’re going to have a serious problem. It might not happen today, it might not happen tomorrow, but at some point you’re going to look in the mirror and wonder what happened to you, guaranteed. You don’t want to know what it’s like to nurse healthy hair back to life. Sure, it might be satisfying but do you know what is even more satisfying? Not letting it get to that point in the first place. Follow our steps and make sure your hair remains healthy whether you’re using a ceramic flat iron or any number of other tools.
